I woke up this morning folding my clothes, vacuuming the carpet, cleaning the rest room. I emptied the trash bins, gathered all my stuffs, washed the used glasses and plates. I hang around a little bit on the bed, unwilling to rise until it my finally dawned on me, Alas! it's the last day of my mission trip!
It's still vivid in my memory the time I left home to go for a month long I believe is a "mission" for myself and lead JAMC CDO. I left in the cold rainy morning of April 28 on board Rural tours 904 bound for Cagayan.I dont know what awaits me. It's my first time to be out of ZC for around a month related to ministry.Quite nervous, a stain of uncertainty, yet I trust that with God everything will be just fine.:-)
My stay proved to be worthwhile. I met awesome people with great dedication, commitment and love for God and His church! All youngsters! very few adults. This church is awesome, ran by purely youngblood in all departments. I have the opportunity to usually meet with this guys casually on our sem-end visit for a retreat and leadership seminar. But the short span of time of my stay. I see that the church has long way to go if they keep their fire, focus and faith in God.Anyways, about my life here. Im usually in my room. There are two vacant rooms that I switch places where I feel comfortable to stay. Im all alone. I have the "time" of my life. I have great time with the Lord and spend longer time on quiet times.I usually leave the hotel house before lunch to have lunch together with some guys at the center. True to my personality, I keep my schedule rightly filled. Im a 3/4 horse power. I have one-on-one's with a first gen leader everyday. I speak on ignite meetings, i speak on worship team devotionals, I meet the service team leaders every monday for a staff meeting, I spoke on a prayer meeting, we designed a seeker sunday and spoke in the service every Sunday. I usually end my day hanging around the park alone at night or buy at cham's (a 24-hour ministore)something to nimble for a movie watch or book reading before the clock strikes 12mid night or 1am.
We regularly have our bonding moments. The guys in the church would love to hang out and do overnight meeting at my hotel home. Watch movie, chit-chat, crunch over some junk foods, drink sodas, chit-chat until we all get knocked down.
I love to lead a starting church. I love to lead people who are passionate about the cause of Christ. I love to lead people who loves God above all. My faith is inspired and empowered to learn for more. I love to lead a church who's open and teachable. I love to lead a church who loves the church. I love to lead people into a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
I know while I'm away from home the Lord is at work and doing great things in the midst. I'm glad hearing good news on what people had become and inspired of their service in the Lord.
Well...for now, i guess its see you soon for JAMC CDO. The church I fell in love in my month stay.
Every ending is a start of a new beginning. (this is life)hmm..whew...:-( This was an awesome chapter penned in the adventure called MY LIFE. I'll treasure all the memories.
Chapter closed. Blank page for a new chapter open. next? MY MANILA ESCAPE! Life must roll. Life must go on! Tonight I'll be on board Superferry 12 bound for Manila.
By the way, upon writing this, I'm hurrying to my next appointment. I'll be having my last staff meeting at 1PM today. I bet the leaders we're already all there waiting for me.
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam!
